Stephanie Daughtry – Agency Principal

I graduated from Troy State University in 1994 with a degree in marketing. After working in customer service, then marketing for Russell Corporation in Atlanta, I resigned in 2002 to move home. I have been in the insurance industry since 2002. I truly enjoy meeting people and try my best to help my clients obtain the coverage they need at a competitive price. I will always work to do the very best job I can for the Highpoint Insurance Group customers. I am following in the footsteps of my mother, Mary Parker, insurance agent for 22 years, who taught me many lessons you do not learn in the classroom. To respect others, be honest and always put the client first. I am to married to Mark Daughtry and have 3 sons, Denver, Reid and Drew. We are active members of First Baptist Church in Alexander City. I am on the executive board of the Alexander City Chamber of Commerce and also a member of the Lake Martin and Auburn-Opelika areas Chamber of Commerce. I give back in many volunteer areas in my church including serving on the greeting committee, Tallapoosa’s Caring Refuge Ladies Brunch fundraising committee, youth leader, Sunday school secretary and other areas as needed. In my leisure time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends enjoying time on Lake Martin, snow skiing, outdoor walks and a good round of Rook top the list. I am thankful for all of my current customers and look forward to meeting new ones.

Mark Daughtry – Agency Principal

I was born in Montgomery, Alabama and graduated from Jeff Davis High School in 1991. I attended Auburn University and received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering in 1996. I started my insurance career as a Nationwide Insurance agent in 2002 in Alexander City, Alabama. Since then, we have expanded to a location in Opelika and Dadeville. I focus primarily on commercial and farm insurance. I am a very detailed person and take pride in getting to know my clients and their needs so that I am certain they are covered as needed. I recently celebrated 24 years of marriage to Stephanie, who is also a principal agent at HighPoint Insurance Group. We have three sons, Denver, Reid and Drew. When not working I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I love to travel and play golf – doing those together is a win-win! I am an active member at First Baptist Church and enjoy the simple things small hometown living bring.

Julie Barron – Sales & Service (Alexander City)

I was born and raised in Coosa County, lived 12 years in Tallapoosa County and now reside in Talladega County with my husband David Barron and 2 sons Landon and Caymen. Our daughter Taylor recently married and we gained a son in law named Colton. I’ve been an agent with the company for 17 years; it’s a blessing to enjoy what you do, where you work and who you work with and for. I truly love people and always try to help any way I can and provide excellence as I serve others. Working in this business we get to meet a lot of people, I enjoy the hometown feel of our agency, all the stories over the years of working together and watching our clients families change and grow. It’s an honor to serve them.

I am an active member of the Church of the Highlands where I’m a Greeter and Small Group Leader. I love my church and my church family. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my husband and boys fishing, skeet shooting, and hiking parks in our area…Pretty much anything outdoors! And I add in all the girl time I can by doing makeup and skincare consultations with my makeup business with Younique, I get to empower women to find their best self by realizing their own beauty.

Lisa Iddon – Sales & Service (Alexander City)

Born and raised in Alexander City and a 1984 graduate of BRHS I have spent the last 39+ years working in customer service. I began with 21 years in finance and have been with The Daughtry Team since 2005 selling and servicing many A+ insurance products. I pride myself in my relationships with each of my customers and I have made many lifelong friends and acquaintances through my work. I have been married to my high school sweetheart, Brian since June of 1984. We have a beautiful daughter and son-in- law, Katie & Dustin Welborn, who live in Birmingham, AL. When I am not working, I enjoy cheering on my favorite sports teams and spending time with my little family. I look forward to building many more friendships and relationships through my service to our community’s insurance needs!

Belinda Cotney, CISR – Commercial Sales & Service (Alexander City)

Originally from Southeast Texas, I claim Alexander City as my hometown, although I have lived in New Site for the past 38 years since marrying Loyd. We have 2 children, Levi and Nina, who now have their own families and have blessed us with three grandsons. Loyd and I enjoy spending time with our family, especially our little boys. I am an active member of New Site Harmony Church where I have been in the choir for over 20 years. Throughout the years I have served as the children and youth leader and also the Troop Leader for the New Site Girl Scouts.

I began my career at Russell Medical Center as a certified pharmacy technician where I worked for 20 years before becoming a health insurance claims representative for 12 years. In 2013 I began my career as a Commercial Insurance Agent and joined the good people of Highpoint Insurance Group in January of 2022. I truly enjoy working with this staff. Here at Highpoint Insurance, we strive to make sure all customers feel welcomed and that their needs are met in a friendly and timely manner.

Bethanie Hinton – Sales & Service (Opelika)

I graduated in 1991 from Dickson County High School in Dickson, TN. I moved to Alabama in 1992. I have been with Daughtry Insurance Team going on 19 years. I share my life with a great guy, Tommy Stinson. I have two sons, Hunter and Troy. I have a granddaughter now (Kingsley) who absolutely has stolen my heart from the day she was born, I love spending time with my family and friends. Outdoors is where I am the happiest and where you will find me when I’m not greeting our customers with a smile. We strive for outstanding customer service here at Highpoint Insurance Group.

Edie Tapley – Sales & Service (Dadeville)

After many years away from the South, I returned to Alabama in 2008. Dadeville and Auburn are my “hometowns”. I studied at Southern Union in Opelika and National University in LaJolla, CA. My husband and I own the strawberry farm in Dadeville and are very happy living here near family and friends. I’ve had varied careers, but all have involved customer care and service. I enjoy all our customers and the small town service we are able to provide. Working at Highpoint Insurance Group is a pleasure. I’m very proud of the fact that we are known for our honesty and commitment to each person we insure! It's a wonderful feeling to go home at night knowing that we’ve done our absolute best for each and every customer.

Tim McClain - Agent, FSS, LUTCF

I am originally from Arab, a small town in North Alabama. I held various jobs in my youth including sailing with the Merchant Marines. I was recruited into the insurance business at the age of twenty eight and quickly realized that this would be my forever career. Helping people plan for their future through life insurance has been extremely rewarding. After eight years, I left Liberty National and the city of Montgomery to open an agency through Cotton States in Opelika. Years later, we would be purchased by Country Financial still offering the same services plus financial planning opportunities. I have enjoyed working with my clients in Opelika for twenty seven years. My wife of thirty four years, Terry, and I loved raising our daughters, Rachel and Caroline, in Auburn and participating in our community. Once they set off on lives of their own through careers and marriages, Terry and I heard the call of Lake Martin. We have cherished the Dadeville community and the many activities on the lake with our family and friends. We have one granddaughter, McLain, who adores boat rides and playing in the water as much as we adore spoiling her with boat rides and water play! We are active members of Lake Martin Baptist Church and we are grateful for the loving fellowship that we have found there. I am truly looking forward to meeting more people in the Dadeville and Alexander City communities and assisting families to arrange favorable, solid financial plans through personalized insurance needs.

Jamie Capps - Sales & Service (Opelika)

I was born in Opelika, and I am a proud long-time resident of Beauregard Strong Community. I am married to my soul mate Kevin, and we have built our forever home, where we raise our two boys, Alex and Matt. We are members of the First Freewill Baptist Church and we are blessed to share God's love with others in Lee County and surrounding areas. I am heavily involved with all school functions including band, baseball, choir, golf and more. My favorite hobbies include watching my husband coach and my sons doing what they love most. I have been a licensed sales and service producer for 16 years. My passion is providing the best coverage for each individual client's needs while also providing peace of mind. I enjoy learning about my clients, and I treat them like family because I believe that they are. I find great joy in helping my clients protect what they love most through home, auto and especially life insurance. I am super excited about this never adventure and I look forward to extending my family of clients.
